The body of young Helen Curtiss is found dead in Central Park. All the evidence seems to point to one of her former boyfriends, Ray Mitchell. The guy is apprehended, but Nick Raider feels the solution is just too easy and obvious. An anonymous phone call puts the Homicide Squad agent on a new track – the bloody trail left by other corpses, leading to a different and quite unexpected solution.
